Tea at Five is an intimate look at the life of Katharine Hepburn.
The first act is set in September 1938. After being labelled “box office poison” and with her professional future in doubt, she contemplates her childhood in Hartford, education and her start in show business.
The second act is set in February 1983, after Hepburn was injured in a car crash. The accident affords the now-legendary star an opportunity to reflect on the triumphs of her career and her heart-breaking romance with Spencer Tracey.
It is with great sadness that my first major announcement as president is that our 2020 season is now “coming soon” rather than entertaining you as expected.
These are challenging times for all of us, both personally & professionally, but you can be assured that we will be back just as soon as it’s safe & practical to do so – and we’ll kick off with the hilarious “Inspector Drake & the Black Widow” as our first show.
