Z-PAC’s Premier Preview Nights are a special performance, held in the week leading up to opening night for a new production (usually on the Wednesday or Thursday). They were created to give charities, and other groups, the chance to raise funds by providing their members and friends with a great night out at the theatre. They also give our cast and crew the opportunity to perform before a live audience for the first time.
Z-PAC will provide you with our seating plan, tickets (if required), and posters for the show. You then promote the event to your members and supporters, choose the ticket price and collect all moneys received. As our regular ticket prices are $27.50 ($25+GST), we do ask that ticket prices be no less than this, with all tickets set to a single price. Groups may choose to charge a little extra ($30+GST for example) and provide a light supper or afternoon tea to their guests in addition to the performance. Our front-of-house staff will be happy to assist you with serving food you supply if you choose to do this.
During the performance, the Z-PAC bar will be open for your guests to purchase drinks and light snacks (ice-creams, chips, chocolates), and tea/coffee will be served free of charge. Our front-of-house will organize staff to man the bar and kitchen for these events.
An allocation of 100 seats is made to your group for the performance, so at a purchase price of $33, you could collect $3,300 (less any expenses for food), and at the same time provide your supporters with a great night out! The only charge made to a group organizing one of these events is for the show rights for that evening (usually around $100-$200, depending on the production, passed on to the rights holder/representative). Our standard theatre hire fees and charges are waived for these events.
